POSITION: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Purpose
To oversee the safe and efficient operation of a warehouse, managing incoming and outgoing goods as well as inventory. This should be done by following clear rules to meet specific goals for the site and customers.
Main Duties:
- Make sure the team follows the rules, safety standards, and guidelines.
- Look into accidents or problems at work and either handle them or pass them on if they don’t follow safety rules.
- Oversee the daily work of the warehouse team to make sure they meet the agreed-upon goals for customers.
- Hold meetings to discuss how well team members are doing and help both new and current members improve their work.
- Help with efforts to protect the environment and always make things better for a greener future.
- Planning how to run the warehouse.
- Improve how we work and the productivity of the warehouse so we can do better than what customers expect.
- Keeping all warehouse workers safe.
- Keeping track of inventory and ensuring stock is correct.
- Making current processes better and creating new ones.
- Help us grow our warehousing at Maersk by expanding our reach.
- Create and keep a culture of always getting better in everything we do at the site.
- Set up the necessary safety steps to protect the site, including the safety of workers, belongings, and the customer’s products in the specified area.
- Look into all important security problems and take steps to fix any that you find. Share your suggestions for fixing these issues with your manager for approval.
- Keep helping to make processes better so we can meet our goals more effectively.
- Keep the training plan up to date as needed.
- Join in customer, regulatory, and internal company checks when needed, and help your team carry out the agreed plan of action.
- Help with customer problems following set rules and suggest solutions.
Who We Are Seeking:
- You need a higher national diploma (HND) or a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in management or supply chain management, along with at least 2 years of experience working in a warehouse.
- Experience in making things better all the time.
- Talking and building good relationships with everyone (customers, managers, and staff).
- Skill to guide, manage, and encourage team members.
- Can work well in a busy place.
- Skills for managing people and working with important groups.
- Good understanding of WMS software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
