Key Duties and Core Responsibilities

The appointed lecturer will undertake a multifaceted role central to our academic mission. Your primary duty will involve delivering high-quality teaching, examining, and supervising our law students. Furthermore, you will actively conduct and publish impactful scholarly research to advance legal thought and the reputation of our institution.

Additionally, you will participate fully in academic administration and contribute to a wide range of university activities. Moreover, a key expectation is your proactive contribution to the ongoing development and growth of the Law Faculty through curriculum development, mentorship, and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Professional Experience

To be eligible for this senior academic appointment, you must satisfy the following essential criteria:

Hold a confirmed academic rank of Senior Lecturer.
Possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law, or an LLD, from a properly recognized and accredited institution.
Have both a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
A professional legal qualification, such as a Barrister at Law (BL) certificate or its equivalent, will be considered a strong added advantage.

Essential Area of Specialization

Candidates must demonstrate deep scholarly expertise in one or more of the following critical legal fields:

Constitutional Law
Commercial Law
International Law
Criminal Law
Human Rights Law
