Responsibilities
- Operate utility locating and designating equipment to identify subsurface utilities
- Mark and document underground utilities accurately in the field
- Perform excavation and vacuum excavation activities as required
- Interpret roadway construction plans and utility record drawings
- Maintain clear, accurate field notes and assignment documentation
- Perform field calculations and verify project data
- Lead project assignments and supervise field activities when required
- Travel to multiple project sites as part of ongoing assignments
- Support related field and surveying tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience using multiple utility designating technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead project assignments and crews
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of utility construction plans and records
- Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and vacuum excavation
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle screening
- Ability to pass background checks
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Eligibility for TN visa classification (if non-U.S. citizen); H-1B sponsorship is not available
