A respected U.S. engineering consultancy is seeking a Construction Engineer to join its Construction Management and Inspection team in Fort Lauderdale / Fort Pierce, Florida, USA. About the Role

You will work as part of a professional construction management team supporting public-sector infrastructure and transportation projects. The role combines field-based construction inspection with office-based engineering and documentation work. Responsibilities

  • Assist with field inspection and oversight of construction activities on infrastructure projects
  • Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, survey reports, maps, and technical documentation
  • Perform basic engineering data analysis and computations to support field decisions
  • Support project management and contract administration in line with client specifications
  • Assist with the preparation and review of project proposals and technical documentation
  • Participate in the preparation of engineering reports and Quality Assurance reviews
  • Carry out additional technical and project support duties as assigned by the project team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or eligibility to obtain it
  • 0–5 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or a related field
  • Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain project-specific certifications as required by clients
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle screening and work in both field and office environments
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. under a TN visa or existing work authorization
