About the Role

As Lead Workday Specialist, you will play a central role in owning and evolving N26’s People Technology landscape, with a strong focus on Workday HCM and related HR and Finance systems. You will be responsible for system governance, continuous improvement, integrations, data quality, security, and process optimisation.

The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on leadership, working closely with HR, Finance, executive stakeholders, and external vendors. Responsibilities

Own and oversee the performance, stability, and evolution of Workday and related People and Finance systems
Lead system configuration, upgrades, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Act as the main liaison between HR, Finance, IT, leadership, and external vendors
Manage permissions, access controls, data security, and compliance requirements
Design and maintain integrations, custom reports, dashboards, queries, and automated processes
Support senior stakeholders with complex data reporting and system insights
Drive process optimisation, data governance, and operational best practices across HR and Finance platforms
Ensure systems align with regulatory, privacy, and internal policy requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
8+ years of hands-on experience working with Workday in enterprise environments
Strong experience with Workday HCM, Finance modules, integrations, and Workday Studio
Proven background in system administration, configuration, data management, and process design
Experience working with Agile environments and tools such as Jira
Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills
