About the Role
The Mine Production Engineer will join a high-performing technical team responsible for short- to medium-term mine planning, production scheduling, and operational performance delivery at the Murrin Murrin nickel and cobalt operation.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role that sits at the core of mining operations, bridging technical planning with real-world production execution. You will work closely with operations, geology, and processing teams to ensure safe, efficient, and optimized mine performance.

Responsibilities
- Deliver mine designs and production schedules for short- and medium-term planning horizons
- Monitor and manage ore blending requirements to meet processing and production targets
- Reconcile mine performance and maintain rolling production schedules
- Provide production and operational guidance to mining teams in the field
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across mine planning and production processes
- Contribute to strategic mine planning activities, including pit designs and infrastructure layouts
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience in an open-pit mining production environment
- Exposure to mine design and scheduling software
- Understanding of mine planning and production workflows
- Ability to work both autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical, planning, and operational coordination skills
- Unrestricted Quarry Managers’ Certification (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Willingness to work FIFO on an 8:6 roster from Perth
- Eligibility for Australian work visa sponsorship (relocation and visa support provided)
