About Role

The Infrastructure Engineer will manage, monitor, and optimise security-focused infrastructure systems across corporate environments. This hybrid role in Lisbon requires hands-on expertise with next-generation firewalls, VPN solutions, endpoint protection platforms, DLP, privileged access management, and identity/access management technologies.

Responsibilities

Operate and administer next-generation firewalls and VPN solutions (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto)
Manage endpoint protection platforms, including EDR, XDR, and antivirus/antimalware solutions
Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation actions
Administer Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems and enforce secure data handling practices
Manage two-factor authentication and conditional access solutions, including FortiAuthenticator
Operate privileged access management platforms such as CyberArk
Monitor infrastructure security and performance, proactively addressing potential issues
Collaborate with network, security, and operations teams to maintain compliance and resilience
Participate in on-call rotations and provide infrastructure support outside business hours
Contribute to infrastructure improvement, automation initiatives, and operational best practices

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar role with security exposure
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection platforms
Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus) preferred
Experience with DLP solutions and identity/access management technologies
Practical knowledge of privileged access management tools (e.g., CyberArk)
Solid understanding of infrastructure and network fundamentals
Relevant certifications or vendor training (Microsoft Azure Security, AWS Security, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.)
Availability for occasional on-call duty and overtime (~10%)
Fluent English and Portuguese, residing in Lisbon (hybrid role)
