POSITION: Chinese-English Translator

Job Description

Sunda International invites a proficient Chinese-English Translator to join our dynamic team. This vital role supports clear communication within our hardware manufacturing facility, bridging the dialogue between our Chinese expatriate staff and local Ghanaian employees. You will facilitate smooth daily operations by ensuring accurate verbal and written translation, ultimately helping to bridge both language and cultural gaps.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the central communication link, you will enable seamless collaboration across all departments.
Provide real-time verbal translation during meetings, training sessions, and production activities to ensure mutual understanding.
Translate written documents with high accuracy, including emails, technical manuals, and work instructions, from Chinese to English and vice versa.
Support Chinese managers and engineers in their daily communication with Ghanaian team members.
Offer cultural interpretation to prevent misunderstandings and promote a harmonious workplace.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism with all company documents and sensitive communications.
Perform additional administrative duties related to translation and team coordination as needed.

Essential Qualifications for Success

Candidates must demonstrate true fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, encompassing spoken and written proficiency. Knowledge of a local Ghanaian language is a beneficial advantage.
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language, Translation Studies, International Relations, or a closely related field.
Possess at least two years of professional translation or interpretation experience.
Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team interaction.
Thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural industrial environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing or technical vocabulary is a significant asset.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working within a Chinese or Asian led manufacturing environment is highly desirable. This background will enable you to quickly adapt to our specific operational context and terminology.
