Job Duties
As the Site Manager, you will be tasked with several key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Supply Chain team to meet operational demands.
- Strategic Planning: Set and implement strategies for various stock control areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Supply Chain and clinical, non-clinical, and operational teams.
- Stock Management: Ensure high standards of stock management across all hospital departments, including theatres and A&E.
- PPE Oversight: Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies for the hospital.
- Budget Support: Assist internal stakeholders in managing ward budgets while identifying savings and service improvements.
Job Requirements
To excel in this role, the following qualifications and experience are required:
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Purchasing & Supply, or relevant work experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional and managerial development.
Desirable Qualifications
- Membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or progress towards this qualification.
- Postgraduate education in a relevant field.
Previous Experience
- Experience in a high-volume purchasing or logistics environment.
- Supervisory experience with staff management.
- Ability to communicate effectively at various organizational levels.
- Proven track record in delivering a best-in-class supply chain function.
- Skills in project management and dashboard reporting.
- Experience in a complex logistics organization.
- Background in providing high-quality customer service.
- Understanding of NHS operations and challenges.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong awareness of dignity in care principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and technical knowledge of supply chain processes.
