  • Possess (or be nearing completion of) a UK First Class Honours degree or an equivalent international qualification.

  • Fulfill the English language criteria: IELTS 6.0 overall (with no subscore lower than 5.5) or a comparable qualification.

The closing date for applications for the Leeds Doctoral Scholarships 2026 is Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (5:00 p.m. UK time). The financing will officially commence on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, with the grant lasting for a period of 3.5 years for full-time learners or the equivalent time for part-time scholars.

Successful candidates must begin their scholarship by 1 October 2026 at the latest. The University of Leeds will reveal the names of chosen candidates within 10 weeks post the application deadline, signifying the start of an exciting new academic phase
