Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2026, applicants need to fulfill these criteria:

  • Obligated to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
  • Submit an application for a campus program at the University of Gothenburg as your top choice through universityadmissions.se.
  • Submit a full research application by 15 January 2026.
  • Submit the application fee and evidence of study eligibility by 2 February 2026 at the latest.

Students participating in online programs are ineligible. Nonetheless, programs that have partial study abroad obligations or temporary adjustments for distance-learning (like those resulting from pandemics) still qualify.

Process for Application

  • University Application: Submit your application for the selected program at the University of Gothenburg (first choice) via universityadmissions.se.
  • Scholarship Invitation: Applicants who meet the criteria will get an email approximately on 10 February 2026 containing details for the scholarship application.
  • Get Your Documents Ready: You must provide:
    • CV (maximum 3000 characters) – Emphasize your educational background, competencies, and experiences pertinent to your selected program.
    • Motivation Letter (max 3000 characters) – Showcase your enthusiasm, academic achievements, and professional aspirations, linking them closely to your chosen field of study.

Selection Process

The scholarship committee, made up of academic personnel, thoughtfully assesses candidates according to:

  • Standard of the CV and Cover Letter.
  • Scholarship qualifications and the degree to which the candidate meets the program criteria.

Every program will grant a single scholarship, while the Artistic Faculty will provide a total of four across all its programs.

The Axel Adler Scholarship may be granted for various bachelor’s programs, such as:

  • International Relations
  • Business and Economics
  • BFA in Metal Art
  • BFA in Wood-Oriented Furniture Design

Final Deadline for Axel Adler Scholarship Applications 2026

To apply for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2026, you must first submit your study application to the University of Gothenburg via universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2026. To stay eligible, you must pay the application fee and provide proof of your study qualifications by 2 February 2026 at the latest.

Qualified candidates will be emailed an invitation containing scholarship application details approximately on 10 February 2026. After submitting your CV and Motivation Letter, the selection committee will assess applications, with results being disclosed by April 8, 2026, for Master’s programs and April 14, 2026, for Bachelor’s programs
