Job Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager for our Aftermarket Retail Sales division. This role is critical for driving growth and new business development for the Spicer and Victor Reinz product lines within the automotive retail parts channel. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with key automotive parts retailers, enhancing sales and profitability for Dana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow existing light-duty aftermarket business with automotive retailers.
  • Develop new business opportunities for Victor Reinz and Spicer products in the retail parts channel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, pricing, finance, and product planning, to ensure optimal customer service.
  • Manage representative agencies representing Victor Reinz and Spicer product lines.
  • Conduct category reviews and manage retail customer portals for document and data management.
  • Perform fieldwork with retail salespersons and rep agencies.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and understand profitability requirements for aftermarket customers.
  • Solicit Dana’s Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback for product improvement.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key retail customers.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com for effective account management and customer relationship building.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required.
  • Experience:
      • 5+ years in the automotive aftermarket.
      • 10+ years in sales and business development, with a strong track record of building customer relationships and successful negotiations.
      • Prior experience in retail account management.
  • Travel: 60% travel required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven business leader experienced in matrix environments.
  • Strong track record in product portfolio strategy and profitable growth through customer relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical products and market dynamics in light vehicles.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and lead teams effectively.
