Every year, they offer numerous scholarships to promote diversity and inclusion among the student population in postgraduate education.
For the 2026 term, the College is providing four primary types of scholarships:
- Academic Scholarships:Granted to students displaying exceptional academic ability, determined by test scores and interviews. Applicants should show enthusiasm for education and engage actively in campus activities.
- Excellence Scholarships:Acknowledging outstanding achievements in academics, sports, music, dance, performing arts, or community service. Selection emphasizes work ethic, accomplishments, and leadership skills.
- Old Collegians’ Scholarship:Available for students starting Year 10 who are descendants of Old Collegians and part of the Old Collegians’ Association.
- Personal Endeavour Scholarships:Open to students in Years 4–6 who demonstrate consistent academic excellence and leadership skills.
Additionally, endowed scholarships like the David Freebairn Memorial Scholarship, Scotch College Foundation Scholarship, and Colin & Alexandra Hamilton Scholarship are integral to the school’s long-term vision, providing opportunities for students who might not otherwise have access to a Scotch education.
Eligibility
Applicants for scholarships need to demonstrate a solid dedication to the College’s principles, such as leadership, service, moral integrity, cultural awareness, and a global perspective. Candidates who succeed must serve as exemplars for their fellow students and maintain the elevated standards of the Scotch community.
Scholarships can be accessed for different year levels, ranging from Year 4 to Year 11, based on the type of scholarship. Because of the large volume of applications received each year, not all worthy candidates will obtain a position.
