Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the King-Morgridge Scholars Program, candidates must:
- Be a new first-year student working towards a Bachelor’s degree.
- Be a low-income first-generation college student.
- Obtained their high school diploma in the past three years.
- Be a resident of and complete secondary education in a qualifying nation in:
- Africa (e.g., Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, etc.)
- The Caribbean region
- América Latina
- Southern Asia
- Southeast Asia
Note: Transfer students, graduate students, current UW–Madison students, and individuals who already possess a post-secondary degree cannot apply.
How to Apply
To be considered for the King-Morgridge Scholars Program, applicants must apply to UW–Madison through Early Action and additionally complete the distinct King-Morgridge application via the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH).
