About the Scholarship

This is not an ordinary research initiative. The fellowship enables students in science and engineering to transform concepts into innovations. During a period of eight (08) months, participants will acquire practical training in:

  • New venture creation and commercialization pathways.

Eligibility Requirements

  • International graduate students who are presently studying in a research-oriented program at Memorial University.
  • Candidates with research in scientific and technological areas that demonstrate prospects for commercialization.
  • Students who can participate in the New Venture Creation graduate course (Fridays, Oct–Dec 2025, 1:00–3:30 p.m., St. John’s campus, with online alternatives for Grenfell and Labrador campuses).
  • Dedication of a minimum of 5 hours each week for workshops and program events.

Please be aware that postdoctoral fellows do not qualify.
