Switzerland Research Fellowship 2026
The Luigi Pericle Archive in Ascona and the Dahlem Humanities Center (DHC) at Freie Universität Berlin are excited to announce a unique Research Fellowship opportunity for 2026, specifically designed for experienced scholars and postdoctoral researchers in the humanities. Fellowship Benefits & Package
The chosen fellow will be graciously received at Archivio Luigi Pericle/Hotel Ascona for a residency lasting a maximum of 6 weeks beginning March 1, 2026. The bundle contains:
- Accommodation and meals at Hotel Ascona
- Financial support of 600 CHF
Availability of important archival resources, promoting research in fields including Monte Verità, utopian societies, the art of Luigi Pericle, philosophy, theosophy, and cultural trends from the early modern period to the 20th century.
Please note that travel costs are not included. Nonetheless, postdoctoral scholars at Freie Universität Berlin may request extra travel funding of up to €500, provided by the Ernst-Reuter-Gesellschaft.

- Duration: The fellowship starts on March 1, 2026, and can continue for up to 6 weeks.
Eligibility Requirements
This fellowship is available to:
- Postdoctoral fellows and experienced academics (professors) in the humanities.
- Candidates are required to be working at Freie Universität Berlin – particularly in:
- The Department of Philosophy and Humanities
- The Department of History and Cultural Studies
- One of the central institutes (LAI, JFKI, OEI).
