Witteveen Fellowship Program

The fellowship provides a month-long residency at Tilburg Law School between February and May 2026. Participants will get:

  • Co-working space and digital library access at Tilburg University.
  • An appointed academic liaison for assistance and assimilation into the research community.
  • Reimbursement for travel and accommodation costs within the university’s financial constraints.
  • Kindly be aware that the fellowship does not offer a stipend or funding for additional living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be in the concluding phases of their PhD research or have earned a PhD in the past five years in the domain of law and humanities.
  • Be devoted to actively engaging in the academic community of Tilburg Law School. This encompasses:
    • Delivering findings at a seminar.
    • Instructing a visiting class.
    • Enriching the wider intellectual community—previous fellows have organized film screenings, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, poetry recitals, and lecture-performances.
