Study in Germany | LGSA Fully Funded PhD Scholarship 2025
The Leibniz Graduate School on Aging (LGSA) is starting its recruitment process for PhD candidates for 2025. This is a great opportunity for motivated scholars interested in researching the science of aging.
The LGSA is a partnership between the Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) and Friedrich Schiller University (FSU) in Jena, Germany. Students will work in an interdisciplinary environment that encourages collaboration across different fields and promotes a deep understanding of aging.
This program highlights the importance of aging research and invites scholars to investigate various aspects of this complex topic. The LGSA aims to build a community of researchers who are eager to advance knowledge in aging, making it an excellent choice for those wanting to contribute to this vital area of study.
A Gateway to Cutting-Edge Aging Research
As a member of the esteemed Leibniz Association, a leading non-university research institution alongside the Max Planck Society and Helmholtz Association, the FLI leads efforts in exploring the molecular, cellular, and systemic processes that influence aging. LGSA students will engage with a dynamic global scientific community striving to uncover the mysteries of healthy longevity.
As a PhD student, you will develop skills in a setting that promotes both scholarly achievement and individual development. In addition to hands-on laboratory research, the program provides various enrichment activities, such as lecture series, journal clubs, skills workshops, and language courses. Every student receives assistance from a committed thesis committee and tailored career guidance during the program.
