The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our sales force. This entry-to-mid-level role is designed for a professional eager to launch or advance a career in technology sales. You will play a vital part in generating new business, supporting senior team members, and learning to manage the complete sales lifecycle for our sophisticated software solutions.
About the Role
This position is a blend of proactive outreach and strategic support. You will identify potential clients, nurture leads, and assist in closing deals while building foundational expertise in enterprise software sales. Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Actively identify and research potential corporate clients through strategic cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and industry research.
- Qualify incoming inquiries to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile.
- Maintain a meticulously organized prospect database within our CRM system.
Sales Support & Client Engagement:
- Assist senior executives in preparing customized proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Coordinate meetings between prospects and our technical implementation teams.
- Represent Persol at industry networking events and exhibitions to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Relationship Management & Reporting:
- Serve as the primary contact for prospects during the initial discovery and qualification phase.
- Conduct consistent follow-ups to advance leads through the sales pipeline.
- Support new client onboarding to ensure a seamless handover to the implementation team.
- Provide detailed weekly activity and progress reports, offering market feedback on competitors and client needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: One to three years of experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing roles. Prior exposure to a technology or software environment is a significant advantage.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills. Proficiency in local Ghanaian languages is beneficial.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Mindset: A resilient “hunter” mentality with the drive to meet targets and handle rejection professionally.
- Professional Attributes: Strong organizational skills, learning agility, and the ability to represent the brand professionally to business managers and executives.
Career Path
This role is a launchpad for growth within Persol. High performers can advance to Senior Business Development Executive or Account Manager positions, with opportunities for specialized training in fintech and enterprise software sales.
