The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee all maintenance operations within our hotel. This key leadership role ensures our facilities operate flawlessly, contributing directly to an outstanding guest experience. You will manage daily engineering tasks, coordinate projects, and lead our emergency and energy conservation programs. This position is ideal for a hands-on manager with advanced technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

What You Will Do

As the Assistant Chief Engineer, you will ensure the hotel’s physical plant operates at peak performance. Your core responsibilities will include:

First, you will assume responsibility for all maintenance and engineering issues throughout the hotel property.
You will perform daily preventive maintenance checks and promptly diagnose and repair mechanical equipment.
A critical duty involves conducting lift emergency release procedures and ensuring all life safety systems are fully operational.
Furthermore, you will build strong working relationships with internal teams and external contractors.
You will also maintain all hotel fixtures and fittings, taking immediate action to resolve any unsafe conditions.
Additionally, you will develop, implement, and direct comprehensive emergency response and energy conservation programs.
You will coordinate renovation projects, managing bids, scope, and contractor oversight to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Finally, you will champion health and safety, conducting monthly inspections and ensuring team members receive proper training.
