University of Helsinki Fellowship 2025 Eligibility Requirements

This chance is available to enthusiastic applicants who fulfill the following criteria:

  • Possess a Master’s degree in an applicable discipline (e.g., sociology, economics, public administration, political science, history).
  • Develop a robust research strategy that is in line with the Centre for Consumer Society Research.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the English language.
  • Demonstrate established capability and enthusiasm for doctoral research through scholarly accomplishments or professional experience.
  • Engage in full-time research activities while taking on a maximum of 5% teaching duties.
  • You must request and acquire the authorization for a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki within six months of your employment.
  • Must live in Finland throughout the research duration (relocation support offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences).
  • Individuals from various linguistic, cultural, and minority backgrounds are invited to submit applications.

  • List of Publications
  • Research Proposal (1,500-2,000 words)
  • Motivation Letter (1,000 words maximum) outlining the candidate’s enthusiasm and qualifications for the project.
