About the Role

In this role, you will be deployed with a leading Utilities organisation to architect and design a complex migration from Mimecast to Microsoft 365. You will take ownership of both high-level and detailed solution design, ensuring a secure, compliant, and seamless transition of email security, continuity, and compliance services to Microsoft native toolsets.

The position requires strong stakeholder engagement, deep technical leadership, and the ability to manage complex architectural engagements within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and design of a complex Mimecast to Microsoft 365 migration
Deliver high-level and detailed solution designs and technical migration strategies
Manage the transition of email security, continuity, and compliance to native Microsoft tools
Oversee implementation of Defender for Office 365, Purview, and Entra ID
Produce technical runbooks, security design documentation, and connector guides
Provide architectural input into the Requirements Traceability Matrices
Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless service transition

Key Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in solutions or enterprise architecture with cybersecurity exposure
Strong expertise in mail flow, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, and Exchange
Proven experience migrating from Mimecast to Microsoft 365 native toolsets
Deep knowledge of Defender for Office 365, Purview, Entra ID, and compliance controls
Solid understanding of compliance frameworks, including legal hold and eDiscovery
Familiarity with SIEM integrations such as Sumo Logic and ITIL change management
Excellent documentation skills and experience managing complex technical engagements
