About the Role

The Tour Guide role is a full-time, on-the-road position based in Cairns, Queensland. Job Duties

As a Tour Guide, your responsibilities include the following duties:

Escort and engage guests on sightseeing, cultural, and adventure-based tours.
Deliver informative and entertaining commentary to create memorable guest experiences.
Conduct pre-departure tasks, including vehicle inspections and equipment preparation.
Coordinate guest pickups and assist with loading equipment onto vehicles or vessels.
Ensure guest safety and well-being at all times, including administering first aid when required.
Assist with tour scheduling, itinerary adjustments, and daily logistics coordination.
Maintain accurate guest records and complete operational checklists after each tour.
Clean, refuel, and prepare vehicles and equipment at the conclusion of tours.
Work collaboratively with operations staff to ensure smooth daily tour delivery.

Job Requirements

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following essential requirements:

Minimum of one year experience as a tour guide or similar customer-facing role.
Current First Aid and CPR certification for emergency response situations.
Valid Australian driver’s licence suitable for tour vehicle operation.
