Job Duties

Your responsibilities as a Building Custodian will include a variety of important tasks:

Keep buildings clean and orderly to maintain a pleasant environment.
Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as washing floors, shampooing rugs, and cleaning windows.
Remove rubbish and debris to ensure a tidy appearance.
Tend to the furnace and boiler, along with performing routine maintenance.
Clear snow or debris from sidewalks and outdoor areas.
Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Assist with the placement of heavier items, exceeding 100 pounds.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects.

Job Requirements

To be eligible for the Building Custodian position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Experience: No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided.
Work Hours: Expected to work 40 hours per week, with a possible variation based on occupancy.
Schedule: Shifts are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Drug Testing: A post-employment background check and drug test are required.
Workplace Policies: Must adhere to company policies on health and safety, including mask-wearing and vaccinations.
