US Embassy in Ghana Announce a New Visa Services Provider Website in 2024
A modification to its visa services has been announced by the US Embassy located in Accra. The US Embassy website will announce the new visa services supplier that the Embassy will be using as of August 26, 2024.
As such, on August 16, 2024, access to the website and services of the present visa service provider will be discontinued. Between August 16 and August 26, applicants will not be able to arrange new visa appointments, change or cancel current appointments, or get in touch with customer care during this time. All scheduled interviews for non-immigrant visas, however, are still open.
Key Information for Visa Applicants:
- Interviews on or before August 16: Candidates may still check the specifics of their appointments and get in touch with customer support by visiting their accounts at ustraveldocs.com. Nothing further needs to be done.
- Interviews scheduled for August 16–26. Candidates should print their confirmation of appointment letters by August 16. During this time, they won’t be able to contact customer support or change or cancel appointments. Attending the planned interviews is highly encouraged. After August 26, instructions for rescheduling will be accessible if an applicant is unable to attend.
- Interviews on August 26 or Later: Before August 16, applicants must print their appointment confirmation letters. To monitor their appointments and get in touch with customer care, they will need to register for new user accounts on the new visa services website starting on August 26.
Required Action for Various Groups of Applicants:
- Candidates that have paid the visa processing fee but have not set up an interview: Appointments for visas should be made as soon as feasible, and instructions should be followed according to the interview date.
- Applicants Who Have Not Paid the Visa Fee and Are Planning to Travel in August or September: Due to limited availability, it is advised that you pay the visa fee and make appointments as soon as possible. If scheduling is not possible before to trip, think about delaying until after August 26 to begin the visa process.
