What the Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship Offers
The Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship supports curious and ambitious young people who aim to use technology to solve real-world problems. Scholars in the 2026 group will receive support throughout the first three years of their undergraduate STEM degree at one of Westpac’s partner universities.
However, the program offers far more than financial support. Scholars take part in leadership training, gain international exposure in Singapore, secure mentoring from industry experts, and join the influential W100 Scholars Network, which links talented students across Australia.
Key Benefits for 2026 Scholars
Up to twenty thousand dollars in flexible funding
Every scholar receives up to twenty thousand dollars to support their undergraduate journey. This includes:
- Fifteen thousand dollars spread across three years for study needs and living costs
- Five thousand dollars for participation in the Disruptive Leaders Program in Singapore
Students may use the funding for textbooks, transport, accommodation, tech equipment, or any essential academic expense.
Global leadership experience in Singapore
Each scholar attends the one-week Disruptive Leaders Program held in Singapore. This international experience focuses on:

- Innovation skills
- Future-focused thinking
Participants also meet global technology experts and explore the digital landscape shaping Asia and the world.
Long-term membership in the W100 Scholars Network
Scholars join the W100 Scholars Network, a nationwide community of high achieving students and alumni. Members receive:

Who Can Apply for the 2026 Intake
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Completed high school within the last two years
- Plan to start an approved STEM program in 2026 at one of the five partner universities
- Able to attend the Disruptive Leaders Program in Singapore in July 2027
- Able to attend the Westpac Scholars Summit in Sydney from 29 to 30 April 2026
A university offer is not required at the time of submitting the application.

Students may apply for double degrees if one part of the program is in an eligible STEM area.
How to Apply
Key Dates for the 2026 Scholarship
Applications open on 2 September 2025.
An online information session will run on 25 September 2025.
All applications must be submitted by 13 January 2026 at 5 pm AEDT.
Shortlisted candidates receive outcomes between February and March 2026.
Selected scholars will attend the Westpac Scholars Summit on 29 and 30 April 2026.
