POSITION: Greenhouse Farm Manager

Job Description

Yefi Green Farms is a forward-thinking agricultural enterprise dedicated to sustainable and efficient food production. We specialize in advanced greenhouse farming, utilizing modern techniques to cultivate high-quality vegetable crops. We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Greenhouse Farm Manager to oversee daily operations at our facility located in Ahwerewa, Ashanti Region.

This is a hands-on management role ideal for a skilled agriculturist with practical expertise in controlled-environment farming. The successful candidate will ensure optimal crop health, manage resources efficiently, and lead a team to achieve our production and quality goals.

Role Overview

As the Greenhouse Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the complete management of our greenhouse operations. Your expertise will directly influence crop yield, quality, and the overall productivity of the farm. You will implement best practices in plant care, pest management, and irrigation while managing on-site staff and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily activities within the greenhouse, including planting, irrigation, climate control, and harvesting.
Implement and manage Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to ensure healthy crops and sustainable practices.
Operate and maintain advanced fertigation systems for precise nutrient and water delivery to vegetable crops.
Monitor plant health, soil conditions, and greenhouse climate parameters to optimize growing conditions.
Supervise and train farm staff, scheduling tasks to maintain efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate records of crop production, inputs, and pest management activities.
Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are well-maintained and functional.
Enforce strict quality control standards from propagation to harvest.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of one year of direct hands-on experience managing a commercial greenhouse.
Strong practical knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and application.
Proven hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting fertigation systems for vegetable production.
A solid understanding of greenhouse climate control, plant physiology, and crop nutrition.
Leadership ability with experience supervising a small team.
A proactive, problem-solving attitude and strong attention to detail.
