Job Title: Device Assistance Officer

We are expanding our technical support team and seeking a proactive, tech-savvy Device Assistance Officer to join our Kumasi office. This role is perfect for a problem-solver who excels at user support and enjoys ensuring technology operates flawlessly to support business goals.
As a Device Assistance Officer, you will be the go-to expert for all device-related queries and issues. Your contributions will directly enhance operational efficiency and empower our team members, particularly our drivers, to perform at their best using reliable and well-maintained technology.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass a diverse range of technical and coordination tasks:
- Provide comprehensive support for all company-issued devices, including smartphones, tablets, and POS systems.
- Assist drivers with initial device setup, software configuration, system updates, and ongoing troubleshooting.
- Monitor device performance across the organization to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Maintain a precise and up-to-date inventory of all hardware, tracking issuance, returns, and status.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs, manage replacements, and facilitate hardware upgrades.
- Enforce company IT policies to ensure secure and proper device usage among all staff.
- Analyze recurring technical problems, report findings to management, and recommend effective long-term solutions.
Your Profile and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of mobile devices, POS systems, and fundamental IT infrastructure.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues efficiently and independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience in a device support or IT helpdesk role is beneficial but not mandatory. We value a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative spirit above all.
