Job Duties

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
Mobility Support: Help patients with mobility needs, including safe transferring and heavy lifting as required.
Medication Administration: Accurately administer medication according to prescriptions and maintain records.
Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to each client’s dietary requirements.
Engagement Activities: Encourage clients to participate in activities that enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
Behavior Management: Manage challenging behaviors, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to alleviate loneliness.
Household Assistance: Help maintain a safe living environment by performing cleaning and laundry tasks.
Transport Support: Drive clients to appointments or outings, ensuring their safety at all times.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies with appropriate first aid and follow escalation procedures.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you should have:

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings.
Knowledge of patient care techniques, especially in dementia and senior care.
Certification in first aid is preferred.
Experience with medication administration and behavior management.
Familiarity with caregiving responsibilities, including meal preparation.
A valid driving license for safely transporting clients.
