Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment and employment records using Workday, including job postings and applicant tracking.
- Create and update job descriptions and assist with internal job changes.
- Provide assistance and information to applicants regarding the hiring process and status updates.
- Oversee the adjunct faculty hiring process, ensuring timely completion of necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate background and reference checks for potential hires.
- Handle the Employment email account, responding promptly to inquiries.
- Serve as a backup for E-Verify and assist in faculty recruitment efforts.
- Monitor onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
- Collaborate with departments to support foreign national employment and sponsorship processes.
- Contribute to training sessions on recruitment policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
To succeed as an Employment Specialist, candidates should meet these qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
- Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
- One to two years of office experience, preferably in human resources.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with software programs like Workday and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
