POSITION: Accounts Payable Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring accurate financial processing, and supporting the company’s overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will manage several critical financial functions:
Process and voucher vendor invoices accurately and promptly to maintain payment schedules.
Verify invoice accuracy and resolve any discrepancies before processing payments.
Address and resolve supplier inquiries regarding payment status and account discrepancies efficiently.
Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to ensure balance accuracy.
Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to facilitate timely payments and resolve queries.
Ensure strict compliance with company financial policies and relevant statutory regulations.
Execute additional duties as assigned by your Line Manager or Supervisor to support team objectives.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Four to five years of relevant professional experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Practical experience with major accounting or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and fundamental accounting principles.
High accuracy and exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
Excellent analytical and account reconciliation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software platforms.
