The Test Development Engineer will specialize in design-for-test (DFT) methodologies for digital and mixed-signal systems on chips (SoCs). Job Duties

As a Test Development Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading DFT Architecture: Develop and implement robust DFT methodologies and ATPG/MBIST strategies.
  • Inserting and Validating Logic: Ensure all DFT logic, including scan chains and boundary scans, is correctly implemented and validated.
  • Silicon Bring-Up: Own and debug silicon bring-up processes and new test features.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance test coverage and resolve RTL violations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain formal DFT documentation for processes and methodologies.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in DFT specification, architecture, and analysis for complex silicon.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in silicon bring-up, ATE debug, and DFT tools such as DFT Max and Tessent.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Location Commitment: Willingness to work on-site in Austin, TX; relocation costs are not covered.

Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with IP integration, test controllers, and hierarchical design/test improvement.
  • Expertise in using EDA tools for silicon test coverage enhancement.
