Program Overview

The Management Trainee Programme provides comprehensive exposure to sustainable forestry practices through hands-on field experience and departmental rotations. You will work alongside industry experts while developing practical skills in plantation management, conservation techniques, and commercial operations. This structured pathway offers an exceptional foundation for forestry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Training & Skill Development

Complete rotational assignments across core forestry departments
Support plantation management activities, including silviculture and maintenance
Assist nursery operations teams with seedling production and quality control
Participate in harvesting operations and sustainable timber extraction processes

Field Operations & Monitoring

Conduct regular site inspections and progress monitoring
Document operational data and identify potential improvement areas
Assist supervisors with daily task coordination and resource allocation
Work extensively in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions

Performance & Collaboration

Participate in regular performance assessments and practical evaluations
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow processes
Support sustainable resource management initiatives and conservation projects

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related field
Completed National Service with a valid certificate
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Valid National Identification Card and Health Insurance
Willingness to relocate to program locations
Previous internship or project experience in the forestry sector
Knowledge of GIS mapping and forestry software applications
Understanding of sustainable resource management principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive approach with innovative thinking
