Role Overview
As an Accounts Officer, you will manage accounts payable and receivable functions while ensuring precise financial documentation. You will process invoices, monitor company expenses, and maintain effective client communication regarding billing matters. Key Responsibilities
Financial Processing & Documentation
- Create and process client invoices with accuracy and timeliness
- Cross-reference invoices with payments and expense records
- Process refunds and manage payment reconciliation procedures
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Accounts Management & Client Communication
- Manage complete accounts payable and receivable cycles
- Send bills and invoices to clients through appropriate channels
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding billing inquiries
- Collaborate with collection agencies for overdue account resolution
Financial Monitoring & Reporting
- Track organizational expenses and maintain expenditure records
- Support financial reporting through accurate data compilation
- Identify discrepancies in financial documentation and resolve them promptly
- Ensure compliance with basic accounting principles and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- HND or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in accounting roles
- Strong financial literacy and numerical processing capabilities
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
