Job Duties
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and workshop technologies effectively.
- Perform maintenance services ensuring trucks operate safely and maintain excellent mechanical performance consistently.
- Conduct vehicle inspections while identifying repair requirements before major operational issues develop further.
- Support apprentices through mentoring, practical guidance, and continuous technical knowledge sharing professionally.
- Participate actively within training sessions improving technical expertise and workplace safety awareness regularly.
- Respond professionally to emergency callouts while delivering reliable repair services whenever required promptly.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience servicing, repairing, and diagnosing heavy-duty trucks professionally within busy workshops.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures alongside proactive problem-solving abilities under pressure situations.
- Relevant NZQA Level Four qualification within Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant Equipment servicing.
- Class Five driving licence remains preferred, although additional licensing support may become available internally.
