Job Duties

  • Conduct detailed functional and mobility assessments for residents following illness or injury events.
  • Develop and implement personalised therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions focusing on strength, balance, and mobility improvement.
  • Lead falls prevention programmes using evidence-based approaches such as structured intervention models.
  • Recommend and monitor assistive devices, mobility aids, and pressure care equipment for residents.
  • Provide manual handling training and guidance to clinical and support staff members.
  • Participate in care planning, documentation, and compliance with aged care quality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and effective patient care services.

Job Requirements

  • Hold a recognised degree in Physiotherapy with current registration through AHPRA.
  • Demonstrate experience or a strong interest in aged care, rehabilitation, or geriatric physiotherapy practice.
  • Exhibit strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and patient management skills in healthcare settings.
  • Show ability to design and deliver both individualised and group therapy interventions effectively.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and teamwork capabilities in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Understand manual handling practices and demonstrate the ability to train and guide other staff.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence to travel between care facilities as required.
  • Reside in Australia currently and be eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization.
