Job Duties

Assess and monitor foster carers to ensure safe, supportive, and high-quality care environments consistently.
Conduct regular home visits to provide guidance, supervision, and ongoing support to foster families.
Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Collaborate with social workers, agencies, and professionals to safeguard children’s wellbeing effectively.
Attend meetings, reviews, and case discussions to support informed decision-making processes consistently.
Provide emotional and practical support to foster carers while addressing challenges proactively and professionally.
Ensure adherence to fostering regulations, national standards, and child protection policies at all times.

Job Requirements

Degree in Social Work or a related discipline with valid registration under Social Work England.
Minimum of two years’ experience working with vulnerable children or within fostering services environments.
Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, national minimum standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills to support effective case management consistently.
Ability to build strong professional relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and families.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Flexibility and adaptability to perform effectively within a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
Valid driving licence required to support travel for home visits and community-based responsibilities.
