Job Duties

  • Assess and monitor foster carers to ensure safe, supportive, and high-quality care environments consistently.
  • Conduct regular home visits to provide guidance, supervision, and ongoing support to foster families.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with social workers, agencies, and professionals to safeguard children’s wellbeing effectively.
  • Attend meetings, reviews, and case discussions to support informed decision-making processes consistently.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to foster carers while addressing challenges proactively and professionally.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or a related discipline with valid registration under Social Work England.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with vulnerable children or within fostering services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, national minimum standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills to support effective case management consistently.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
