Job Title: Strategic Advisor
Focus Agency Ghana is not just another digital marketing firm. We are a leading 360° Digital Marketing, Advertising, and SEO agency based in Ghana, serving clients across Africa and the globe. Also, we specialize in leveraging advanced technologies to provide tailored solutions in SEO, SEM, social media, and web development. Now, we are ready to take the next massive leap. We are assembling an Advisory Board, and we are looking for a Strategic Advisor to partner with us. This is not a traditional job. This is an equity-based partnership designed for a leader who wants to participate in the upside of a high-growth agency. We need your roadmap and your experience to guide us to the enterprise level.
Core Responsibilities
As our Strategic Advisor, you will not be involved in day-to-day operations. Instead, you will provide high-level strategic oversight and mentorship. Moreover, you will serve as a trusted sounding board for the founder. Your insights will help us navigate scaling challenges, acquire enterprise clients, and position ourselves for exponential growth.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Strategic Guidance & Mentorship
- Provide Strategic Oversight: You will review our current trajectory and advise on the critical path to enterprise scaling. You will help us see around corners.
- Mentor on Operational Bottlenecks: You will draw on your experience navigating growing pains to help us identify and overcome operational hurdles. You will share what worked and what did not.
- Serve as a Sounding Board: You will meet regularly with the founder to discuss long-term growth, service expansion, and strategic decisions. Your perspective will be invaluable.
Enterprise Growth & Positioning
- Advise on Enterprise Client Acquisition: You will guide us on how to attract and win high-ticket enterprise clients. You understand the B2B service sales cycle at the highest level.
- Shape Corporate Positioning: You will help us refine how we present ourselves to the enterprise market. You will ensure our messaging resonates with corporate decision-makers.
- Leverage Your Network: You will open doors and make connections when appropriate. Your network is one of your greatest assets.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a very specific type of leader. You have been where we are trying to go. You know the path because you have walked it yourself.
To excel in this role, you will need:
Experience & Background
- You are a seasoned agency veteran with years of experience at the highest levels.
- You may be a former founder who successfully built and scaled an agency.
- Alternatively, you are an enterprise-level CMO who understands the client side of the equation.
- You have successfully navigated the growing pains of scaling a B2B service business. You have the battle scars to prove it.
- You possess a strong network of enterprise contacts and industry leaders.
Mindset & Approach
- You understand high-ticket client acquisition and what it takes to win corporate business.
- You have a strategic mindset and can see the big picture beyond daily operations.
- You are generous with your knowledge and genuinely enjoy mentoring the next generation of leaders.
- You are excited about equity-based compensation and participating in long-term upside.
- You can commit approximately 3 to 5 hours per month to this advisory role.
The Compensation Structure: Share in Our Success
This is not a paid consultancy. This is a partnership.
- Equity Stake: Compensation is a 0.2% to 1.0% equity stake in Focus Agency Ghana. Your reward is tied directly to our growth and success.
- FAST Agreement: We will use the standard Founder/Advisor Standard Template (FAST Agreement). This is a clean, founder-friendly, and widely used structure for advisor equity.
- Vesting Schedule: The equity includes a 2-year vesting schedule with a 3-month cliff. This ensures mutual alignment and commitment before the equity locks in.
