This permanent full-time role forms part of Newhaul’s expanding pit-to-port logistics network, transporting iron ore from the Weld Range mining operations to the Geraldton Port. The company is currently expanding operations following the launch of the Beebyn-W11 iron ore mine site, creating strong demand for experienced road train operators.

International candidates may also be considered, as the company operates under a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) and can sponsor experienced MC drivers under visa pathways, including the Subclass 482 Temporary Skill Shortage visa and other eligible work visa programs.

About Role

The Road Train Operator will join Newhaul’s Road Logistics Team and play a critical role in transporting bulk iron ore materials across regional Western Australia. Operators will drive prime movers with quad side-tipper trailer configurations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials between inland ports and operational sites.

The position involves working on a structured 6 days / 6 nights / 6 days off roster, with 12-hour day and night shifts. Drivers will be based at a purpose-built accommodation camp in the town of Mullewa, providing modern facilities and full catering services. Safety and operational excellence are central to the role, with drivers expected to maintain high standards of compliance, equipment care, and teamwork while operating in demanding mining logistics environments.

Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in remote operational environments
Physical fitness suitable for heavy vehicle operations
