About Role

The Long Haul Class 1 Driver plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, timely, and temperature-controlled delivery of fresh produce and supplies. Working as part of a two-person driving team, you will operate Class 1 commercial vehicles with reefer trailers, manage cross-border documentation, and maintain strict compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.

This position involves long-distance driving, flexible scheduling, and coordination with warehouse and logistics teams. Drivers are entrusted with route planning, vehicle inspections, and load integrity while representing the company professionally at all delivery points.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 commercial vehicles with reefer trailers on long-haul cross-border routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects immediately
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload produce while maintaining temperature integrity
  • Complete deliveries on schedule and communicate delays or route issues
  • Manage shipping, customs, ELD logs, and cargo documentation
  • Monitor load conditions and record temperature readings
  • Comply with TDG, NSC, FMCSA Hours of Service, and company safety policies
  • Perform minor emergency roadside repairs when required
  • Support warehouse and logistics operations as needed

Requirements

  • Valid British Columbia Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstractA
  • A FAST Card and a valid passport for U.S. cross-border travel
  • Minimum experience operating Class 1 vehicles and reefer trailers
  • Knowledge of TDG, NSC, and Hours of Service regulations
  • Completion of Mandatory Entry-Level Training
  • Ability to pass drug testing and background checks
  • Physically fit for long driving hours and lifting up to 23 kg
  • Comfortable working flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Willingness to work in two-person driving teams
