About Role

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll join the Global Solutions team at Breville, contributing to next-generation connected products that blend hardware, software, and content into seamless customer experiences. You’ll work across multiple product streams, from early concept through release, shaping interfaces that appear on appliances and applications used across more than 70 countries.

Operating within cross-functional product teams, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, usability researchers, and culinary experts to ensure solutions are human-centred, visually refined, and commercially successful. You’ll play a hands-on role in test-driven design, prototyping, design system evolution, and visual storytelling, while mentoring peers and contributing to a global design community.

This is a Sydney-based hybrid position, with relocation support available for overseas candidates.

Responsibilities

Design user experiences and interfaces across digital products and connected physical appliances
Lead UX activities within product teams, providing clear design rationale and documentation
Partner with engineering, product, and research teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
Apply test-driven design practices using usability research and iterative feedback
Manage multiple projects across different development stages
Contribute to and evolve the Breville Design System for consistency and scalability
Produce high-quality visual designs aligned with Breville’s premium brand standards
Build interactive prototypes and collaborate on implementation details

Requirements

4–5+ years of professional UX / Product Design experience
Strong expertise in human-centred design, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
Proven experience delivering products from concept through launch
Background in designing interfaces for apps and physical products
Excellent communication skills for presenting concepts and design rationale
Proficiency with Figma (experience with AI design tools is a plus)
Collaborative mindset with experience working closely with developers
