The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a results-driven Consultant and Project Manager to join our team in Accra. This role focuses on two core areas: business development and project management. The successful candidate will lead proposal and concept development, execute consulting assignments, and design scalable advisory products. Moreover, you will actively support business growth by forging strategic partnerships with private sector actors, multinationals, foundations, and impact-focused institutions. Key Responsibilities

As our Consultant and Project Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse range of responsibilities. Your work will directly impact our clients, our team, and our overall business growth. Specifically, you will:

Lead Consulting Assignments: You will lead and deliver consulting assignments across key areas, including MSME development, access to finance, research, and advisory services. Your expertise will guide clients toward sustainable solutions.
Design Innovative Products: You will design practical, high-impact advisory products and solutions that respond directly to market and client needs. Your creativity will translate ideas into actionable offerings.
Manage Projects End to End: You will manage projects from inception to completion. This includes meticulous work planning, budget management, team coordination, and rigorous quality assurance to ensure successful outcomes.
Drive Business Development: You will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, engaging with potential clients, developing compelling proposals, and building strategic partnerships. Your efforts will expand our client base and service offerings.
Build and Manage Relationships: You will build and nurture relationships with private sector clients, multinationals, foundations, financial institutions, and other ecosystem actors. Strong relationships are the foundation of our success.
Prepare High Quality Deliverables: You will prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and knowledge products. Furthermore, you will present insights and recommendations to clients and other stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Mentor Junior Staff: You will mentor junior staff and consultants, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration. Your guidance will help develop the next generation of consulting talent.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you need a combination of advanced education, extensive experience, and the right personal attributes. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Educational Background:

A minimum of a master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a directly related field is required.

Professional Experience:

You must have at least seven years of experience in consulting, advisory services, MSME development, access to finance, or private sector development.
Proven experience in project management and business development is essential.
You should have a demonstrated track record of delivering client-facing advisory assignments successfully.
A strong understanding of SME ecosystems, financial inclusion, and enterprise support in emerging markets is critical.
Experience working specifically in Ghana or West Africa is a distinct advantage.
