Job Title: Regional Senior Business Advisor

Position Summary
World Vision International is seeking a Regional Senior Business Advisor to provide high-quality advisory services to regional and national management teams. Reporting to the Regional Audit Director, this strategic role focuses on strengthening governance, risk management, and internal controls. You will deliver data-driven insights and practical recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and support key business priorities across the region. The ideal candidate will be a bilingual professional (English & French) who can operate with minimal supervision from any location where World Vision is registered.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic and Operational Advisory (40%): You will facilitate management self-assessments and conduct thematic advisory engagements on areas like fraud prevention and procurement integrity. Furthermore, you will prepare advisory reports with actionable recommendations, ensuring all activities align with global frameworks such as COSO and ISO 31000
- Leadership Partnership and Risk Management (20%): A core function involves collaborating closely with Regional Audit Directors, National Directors, and Senior Leadership Teams. You will engage in strategic discussions, advise on risk mitigation and process optimization, and serve as a trusted advisor to translate risks into business-relevant solutions.
- Risk Culture and Capacity Building (20%): You will actively strengthen the risk-aware culture across National Offices. This includes facilitating awareness sessions on key control topics, developing practical resources like toolkits, and promoting lessons learned from audits to drive meaningful behavioral change.
- Strategic Project Support (10%): You will contribute specialized advisory support to regional and global strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will participate in project working groups, conduct targeted risk reviews, and help implement Global Assurance & Advisory (GAA) strategic frameworks related to aligned assurance.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
- A professional certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP).
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in business advisory, internal audit, or risk management, preferably within an international multi-country context.
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic advisory support to senior leadership and conducting thematic control assessments.
- Proven ability to facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives on internal controls and integrity systems.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM) and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is highly advantageous for this bilingual role.
- Ability to be based in any country within the regional portfolio and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
