5 YOUNGEST PRESIDENTS IN THE WORLD
Some citizens believe that a president must be in his 40s or maybe 50s. They usually have this belief based on the fact that the presidential position requires lots of experience and hard work. Nonetheless, in the past years, we have seen young men becoming presidents in different parts of the world. Below is a list of some of these youngest presidents in the world.

1. EMMANUEL MACRON
The first on this list is Emmanuel Macron. He is the President of France. He was born on the 21st December 1977 at Amiens in France. Macron is now 45 years of age. He was once a civil servant and an investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque respectively. Macron studies Philosophy at Paris Nanterre University and graduated in 2004.
2. NAYIB BUKELE
Next to the above is Nayib Bukele. Currently, he is 40 years old. He was born on the 24th of July, 1981. He rules as the President of El Salvador since 2019. Nayib was formerly a mayor of Nuevo Cuscatlán from March 2012 to March 2015.
3. KIM JONG UN
Born on the 8th of January, 1983 in Pyongyang in North Korea. Kim is thus 39 years of age. He is the Supreme Leader of North Korea. Kim is also the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, and a member of the country’s highest decision-making body.
4. ASSIMI GOITA
Assimi’s age at the moment is 39 years, born in 1983. He is the Interim President of Mali since May 2021. Assimi is also the commander of the National Committee for the people’s Salvation. Assimi Goita is the son of a Milan Armed Forces Officer.
5. SANNA MARIN
The last but not least of the youngest Presidents in the world is Sanna Marin. She was born on the 16th of November, 1985. Her age at the moment is 36 years. She serves as the Prime Minister of Finland since 2019. Sanna has also been a member of the Social Democratic Party in the Finnish Parliament from the year 2015 to date. In the year 2019, she was also elected as the Minister of Transport and Communications.
IN CONCLUSION
Despite the belief that leaders should be adults rather than youth, these young presidents have proved that such belief is futile. Some of these leaders even took on the mantle of leadership before they reached their adolescent age. Their efforts, sacrifice, and hard work, and the level of development in their respective countries serve as enough proof. This also goes a long way to prove that indeed age is just a number.
