5 members of the African Petroleum Producers’ Association
The APPO (African Petroleum Producers’ Association) was established on January 27, 1987, to serve as a platform for cooperation and harmonization of efforts, collaboration, and sharing of knowledge, and expertise among African producing countries. Here are 5 members of the APPO as of December 2021.
1 . To begin with, ALGERIA
Algeria is one of the few countries in the north of Africa that are in the APPO. They recently have been making massive explorations into the oil sector and found it prudent to join the APPO.
2 . Secondly, GHANA
Ghana was recently rectified as a part of the APPO. The ratification of Ghana’s membership to the APPO by Parliament would afford the country access to the Africa Energy Investment Corporation (AEICorp) to mobilize private-sector funds towards the development of Ghana’s Petroleum Hub through eligible African and International Financial Institutions.
3 . Also, NIGERIA
Nigeria is one of the biggest beacons of oil and gas in Africa. They also have been one of the most long-serving countries in the APPO. It wouldn’t be prudent to avoid Nigeria when it comes to issues of the APPO.
4 . Another is SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa alongside Nigeria has been in the oil business in Africa for a very long time now and serves as one of the foundations of the APPO.
5 . Lastly, LIBYA
Libya is one of the few countries in the north of Africa that are in the APPO. They have been in the oil business in Africa for a very long time now and serve as one of the foundations of the APPO.
