Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, West Africa, this role is primarily responsible for building, implementing, and executing support strategy of BD FACS Presto near-patient CD4 platform in West Africa.

By the central objective of this position, building a comprehensive understanding of point-of-care testing, market dynamics, and customer needs in order to help build the most effective support strategy for the business’ point-of-care instruments is essential.

More importantly, the associate will act as a liaison between BD, in-country distributors, and mainly as the ‘face’ and primary point of contact (‘one-stop shop’) between business and end-users.

In the medium- to long-term, the goal is to build capacity to lead all aspects of point-of-care coordination at a distributor’s level as may be determined by business dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect all marketing intelligence needed to support the decision-making process with respect to the deployment of business strategy
  • Supervise ongoing market activities, customer experience, inventory levels, etc. to discern trends, patterns, and behaviors that may be essential in optimizing our marketing and support strategy
  • Ensure that optimal equipment utilization is met through timely pro- and reactive communication with customers
  • Prepare and provide complete analysis of data from the Technical service system (SMX, Qlik sense, etc) for performance management across. Support Technical Service on TS Back office Operations (i.e Service MAX data Management, Spare Parts, Quote and Revenue)

Qualification and Skills:

  • Graduate 0-1 year experience.
  • Fluency in English & French
  • Preferably in the Medical Diagnostic and/or Pharmaceutical environment. Working experience with spreadsheets, dashboards, statistical programs, or similar computer experience
  • Coordinate all support activities to enable the fastest response and solutions to customer problems
  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in customer service, administration, Analytical Studies or commensurate work experience
  • Interpersonal skills and strong communication in both English and French
  • Strong organizational and planning skills as well as strong analytical skills & familiarity with spreadsheets. Motivated, innovative, and results- and solutions-orientated person
  • Must be a strong teammate, comfortable to interact with various business functions!
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being diligent, persistent, and patient when dealing with customers; ability to form and sustain customer relationships
  • Proven understanding on Microsoft tools (i.e Excel, Powerpoint, Work)
