For the academic year 2023–2024, the University of Stirling is offering six GREAT Scholarships, each worth £10,000.

KEY SUBJECT AREAS
1 . MSc Big Data
In today’s commercial environment, big data is becoming more and more significant. A data scientist with a focus on big data can assist businesses in making sense of massive amounts of organized and unstructured data by delivering quick insights that help them make better decisions more quickly.
You’ll learn useful skills in advanced analytics, industrial and scientific applications, and big data technology. Modern technologies like Data Analytics, R, Hadoop, NoSQL, and Machine Learning will be taught to you.
At the same time, you’ll study significant math and computing theory and pick up the cutting-edge computational skills you’ll need to build your data science career. Data scientists are employed by both international and local businesses where our MSc has been established.
2 . MSc International Conflict and Cooperation
With our Master’s in International Conflict and Cooperation, you’ll be equipped to handle a range of issues that now confront international organizations. The dynamics of international conflict and collaboration are examined in this course in the context of significant occurrences including the end of the Cold War, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Arab Spring, and the CoVid-19 pandemic.
In order to concentrate on conflict management and prevention in certain geographical areas, we adopt a theme approach to conflict resolution and the function of international organizations. The course also looks at how conflict develops and is controlled in connection to things like migration and natural resources.
Some of the raw material for this MSc comes from contemporary conundrums regarding the politics of climate change talks, resource disputes, civil wars and ethnic tensions, human rights, international terrorism, and humanitarian intervention.
3 . MSc Investment Analysis
The longest-running postgraduate program in the subject in the UK, MSc Investment Analysis has a stellar reputation. It is also one of the select few master’s degrees in the UK that has been approved by the University Affiliation Program of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
This acknowledges that the course emphasizes the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and that it covers at least 70% of the Candidate’s Body of Knowledge for the CFA Program.
The course puts students in a good position to get the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which has grown to be the most prestigious and well-known investing accreditation worldwide.
