2023 Fully Funded South Korean KAIST Scholarships
Applications are open for international students to apply for South Korean KAIST 2023 Spring Scholarships. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) scholarships are designed for international students pursuing their Master’s, MPhil, or Ph.D. Degree programs.
Getting admission into KAIST is very competitive. For this reason, interested international students should prepare all relevant documents to aid their successful application.
KAIST scholarship is fully funded, as a result, about 300 scholarships are being offered to international students. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has five colleges and seven schools and also offers courses in all academic disciplines.
Students without IELTS test scores can submit a Proof of English Language Proficiency Certificate from the previous university.

KAIST Scholarships Benefits
KAIST Scholarships are categorized into three types. International students can select from any of them:
1 . KAIST International Student Scholarship
Successful applicants will enjoy the benefits below:
- To begin with, Full Tuition Fee: Thus, tuition exemption for two years (MS) and four years (Ph.D.)
- Secondly, Living expenses: Thus, a 350,000 KRW per month (for MS), and 400,000 KRW per month (for Ph.D.)
- Thirdly, Medical Insurance

2 . Global Korea Scholarship
The Global Korea Scholarship will cover the following expenses:
- Firstly, Round Airfare Tickets
- Secondly, Resettlement Allowance (KRW 200,000)
- Thirdly, Living Allowance (KRW 900,000)
- Also, Medical Insurance (KRW 20,000)
- Additionally, Language Courses
- Most importantly, Full Tuition Fees
- Also, the Award for Excellent Korean Language Proficiency
- Furthermore, Research Support (KRW 210,000 – 240,000)
- Last but not least, Printing Costs (Dissertation) (KRW 500,000 – 800,000)

KAIST Language Requirements
International applicants who studied using the English Language are EXEMPT from submitting the EPT report. However, they can submit English Proficiency Language Certificate.

Who Can Apply For KAIST Scholarships?
Interested International students should meet the requirements below:
- Interested applicants should not be of Korean nationality.
- Thus, applicants should be international students.
- For applicants seeking to study for the master’s degree program, they must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Also, applicants seeking to study for the doctoral degree program must hold a bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree.
