A devoted member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Socrate Safo recently disclosed I’m Okay FM that $10 million has been allocated to the Creative Art Industry by the government.
He made this revelation during a discussion monitored by NewsNowGh on Okay FM’s ‘Best Entertainment’ program hosted by Halifax Ansah Addo.
As usual for party members, his statement was heavily opposed by spokespersons for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the program.
After he made his statement, he was questioned where the money came from and Socrate Sarfo answered that the money was acquired through the Exim Bank Ghana.
He added that Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was the one who announced the money.
The Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture in Ghana explained that people within the creative arts sector are having issues in accessing the fund talked about.
According to him, there are certain requirements of which they have to meet before they can have access to the money.
